Have you heard of BKD?

When it comes to children's events and gifts, we are all about creativity. Anything that fuels children's imaginations gets a tick in our book and that is exactly what BKD do. BKD are an award winning children's baking company who offer fun, messy baking events around London. Last week we were invited to check out their Halloween offering of Spooky Cupcakes, a cupcake decorating class for children. They are aimed at children aged 3+, so my little 2.5 year old was by far the youngest in the class but thanks to her love of a cupcake and a brilliant host, it didn't matter one bit. Our class was held in the very friendly and cosy Home and Kids cafe in Blackheath (SE3) and was run by the very

Festive Horse Drawn Carriage Rides

We're so lucky to have so many stunning London parks. With a toddler I spend hours in the park we do everything from feeding the squirrels and watching the deer to jumping in puddles and playing in the play park. But there is one thing I've always dreamt of doing, which I've only seen in New York and that is having a horse drawn carriage ride around the park at Christmas. Well, it seems that my little Christmas dream is now going to come true as that is exactly what the amazing people at Operation Centaur are doing this Christmas in Richmond Park. From the 16th - 18th of December 2016 Operation Centaur are bringing you a six person Park Brake drawn by their majestic Shire Horses, allowing

Christmas Jumper Day with Save the Children and Selfish Mother

I love Christmas jumpers, I probably shouldn't admit this but I've been collecting Christmas jumpers for the past few years with the aim to one day have a different one for each day leading up to Christmas! Well, it looks like I'll be adding a new one to the collection this year! Friday the 16th of December see's Save the Children's Christmas Jumper day return for a 5th year running. This year they have teamed up with mega mum brand Selfish Mother (we've all got the sweatshirts haven't we?) and produced a collection of festive, slogan sweatshirts that not only look good but do good too, with 50% of each sweatshirt sold being donated to Save The Children. The unisex range has been created in

This week we're loving: Mugs

This week we're loving: Mugs Ok, bear with me. I know mugs may seem like a lame present (to some people) but we're not saying you need to give one as a main gift to your mum. One of these would make a perfect little stocking filler for a loved one or even a great end of year gift for a teacher. Have a scroll through and I bet there will be at least one mug in there you'll love!

Backyard Cinema's 'The Winter Night Garden'

Known for their immersive, theatrical events, detailed productions and festival atmosphere; Backyard Cinema have built a beautiful, indoor enchanted forest, where they will be screening a wonderfully festive array of Christmas classics, including Home Alone, Elf, Love Actually and It's a Wonderful Life (plus many more). Selfridges Christmas Windows

We are so, so, so, so, so, soooooo EXCITED about this!! Not only is Selfridges our favourite shop ever but their Christmas windows are always a highlight of the season. This week we're loving: Trinket Trays

Trinket trays, jewellery dish, jewellery tray....call them what you will! A perfect little gift for someone who likes to look after their jewellery. After speaking to a lot of you it seems that I'm not alone in taking off my earrings/rings at night and throwing them on to my bedside table only to wake up to one stranded on the floor. These little trays make sure that at the end of the day your jewellery has a little rest place of it's own and they look so so so pretty! #jewellerydish #trinkettray #jewellery #giftguide
