Can we talk about Lego...

It goes without saying that everyone loves a bit of Lego, it's the ultimate classic toy, for all ages. I had it when I was younger and loved it but soon grew out of it and to be honest it hasn't been on my radar since then. Oh how times have changed! A few years back I got given the Back to the Future DeLorean Lego set for Christmas and it was genuinely the best present I got that year, so much fun. Soon after, I had my daughter and Lego has been on my radar ever since.

Year on year they bring out so many brilliant products and not just for children. Last year I bought my dad the Volkswagen T1 Camper Van from their Creator range (which has some AMAZING products) and he LOVED IT and has it proudly on show in his living room.

And this year (and last actually) I got my daughter the Star Wars Lego Advent Calendar which is so good as at the end of it they have a new load of Lego to carry on playing with.

But there is one product that launched this year that has got everyone talking and that is the Women of Nasa set. When I heard about this product I was so excited, as well as Lego my little one is also a space lover so this is perfect for her. We have loads of books and toys about space and 90% of the astronauts in them are male so finding out about this product was so REFRESHING!!!

The set features minifigures of 4 pioneering women of NASA - astronomer and educator Nancy Grace Roman, computer scientist and entrepreneur Margaret Hamilton, astronaut, physicist and entrepreneur Sally Ride and astronaut, physician and engineer Mae Jamison and 3 builds illustrating their areas of expertise. It's such a great gift and I love the fact that the 4 women are real-life NASA heroines.
